«Freedom defines all my choices in life»
My current job position – Editors team manager. The job itself involves the support of editors and writers, finding ways to improve working conditions and reach company’s KPIs at the same time.
What makes people interesting for me is their attitude to life. I love people who care about other people, animals, planet, future, and do something to change the situation. Even if these changes are small, this matters a lot to me.
If I could have a conversation with any of people, I would like to talk to Gautama Buddha and Coco Chanel. I’d ask Coco Chahel just two questions: what is happiness for her and was she happy in her life? If not, what would she have changed?
Greece is my one and only love. I recommend this country to everybody. That’s the right place for the soul and heart. Why do I love this country? First, for unbounded freedom. Greeks are very rebellious, and they know how to enjoy life. Second, the atmosphere is so relaxing that you finally forget about your problems and just enjoy the moment, listen to music that can be heard from every corner. Third, the food. It’s just amazing. Their cuisine is simple, and this is the beauty of it.
A successful person is self-fulfilled person, and the person should feel that fulfillment. It’s not easy to find your place in life, where you can be maximum useful and add value, so people who do find it are successful for me.
I don’t think other people can tell you who you are. Only you know yourself from A to Z. But, I do believe specialised trainings and tests can help you understand your weak and strong sides better, provide a hint on a direction you should move forward. Sometimes, other people see what you don’t see, and their opinion and help are valuable.
My ideal work environment is my home, where I’m always surrounded by my cats. It’s a place where I can sit in any posture and be dressed in pajamas. And the best part – no need to waste hours in public transport.
UvoCorp is the place where you feel loved, protected, accepted, and free.
The most difficult part for me is to work with people at a distance, without face to face communication. I can’t understand people without being connected to them emotionally. Without connection, there’s a lack of trust, which is a very important part of any relationship.
I think it’s quite hard to remove the distance burden with freelance workers. But we all can move to Greece.
Time is my biggest treasure; it’s never enough. I just wonder how some people manage to do so many things, while you do so little. Most of my time is spent on work and sleep. In between, I try to do something useful and pleasurable, like learning something new and dancing or just walking.
I have just returned from Georgia, from a hiking tour to the top of Kazbegi. It was my first camping experience and the highest point I’ve ever reached. There’s nothing I can compare this experience to, I never felt my body so deeply and clearly before. When you at 5000 meters above the sea, your mind is finally calm and you see things as they are.
I felt no hunger at all during the trip. My body was so concentrated that I didn’t feel any pain, almost no hunger. But the good thing is that you lose a lot of weight; ten days of camping and hiking can do much more than years in the gym.
There were a few moments during the hiking when I thought I couldn’t go anymore, especially at the top. But I kept reminding myself that there’s nothing I can’t do and that I can’t give up in the middle, so close to my dream.
I’m dreaming about trekking around Annapurna. I heard people saying it’s one of the most beautiful trek routes in the world.
I try to make changes in those areas that matter to me, animal rights and garbage crisis to be specific. My first steps were going vegetarian and separating garbage for further recycling. And I have some other plans for the future.
Do what really matters and what gives inner satisfaction. Follow your dreams no matter how difficult the path is. In return, we grow and become better representation of ourselves, gain more energy to give and share. And this is what I think means to live.
